Busy, Busy, Busy!

Kory and I have been busy, busy, busy!! We decided we wanted to paint the kitchen and found the perfect colors in the example book at home depot. (We are not very creative-we had to copy an exact room.) Anyhow, so far we only did one wall. This was our original plan and have since decided to paint the rest of the kitchen as well. Here is the one wall we have done so far! It is a deep green that I can't get to show the real color too well. I just like my table with the curtains, table runner, and basket of fruit.
We also have hated the lights in our living room. They were so dim we could barely even see at night when we didn't have any sun helping out. Kory has always loved can lights and set out to sell me on them. Because Home Depot had some issues getting us the right parts it took us awhile to totally complete them. I love them. There are six in all and for the ones at the very top of the vault Kory was on the piano bench with a TV stand on that and a kitchen chair on top of that! It looked very precarious. All of the insulation was blown in so as soon as the holes were cut it just started falling through. They look really good and they really brighten the room. Kory did almost lose an eye but what can ya do?! This weekend we are painting the bedroom so we will keep you posted on how awesome our projects look! It is so nice to have our own house where we can do things like this!
