Valentines was such a wonderful day this year. Kory made it very special. He told me awhile back that if I would stop worrying about making sure he made holidays special that I would be surprised at how special he really could make them without my help. I never really planned on letting him handle a holiday all on his own but I have been busy. Plus, Valentines was never a grand holiday for me anyway, so I just didn't mention anything to him. Well, Valentines morning I woke up and hopped in the shower and when I got out he had breakfast cooking. I came out to hug him and he handed me a card he had made and a very cute skirt he had bought! I was utterly floored!

The cute skirt he bought. (p.s. I'm not really that tall! I am wearing 2 1/2 inch heels.)
Who would've known. That is not all though. Later, he took me to a movie I had been wanting to see and then came home and made steaks and mashed potatoes for dinner. (My favorite and a tradition from last year.) What a wonderful hubbie I have! This holiday was more special than any of the ones that I have tried to tell him how to make it special. :-) I may just have to trust him in the future...
