First of all, have I ever mentioned I have editing problems? I could not narrow down my pictures so just be prepared for picture overload!!!
Kory had a business trip to Phoenix, AZ these past couple weeks so Boston and I tagged along. It was split into two parts so we had a mini vacation in the middle! I was sooooo excited to go somewhere hot! I am so sick of this weather and did you know that Pocatello is always-no seriously. always-windy!
The first few days Kory had meetings in the day so I planned some things to do that Boston would get a kick out of. We found a cool indoor climbing gym with blow up slides and bounce houses. He had a blast!!! I was a little upset when we first walked in all he cared about was the arcade area and the drinking fountain but with a little persuasion he ended up LOVING climbing and playing on everything else!

The next day we went to a super ritzy mall with a splash pad in the middle. He wouldn't even get in! I was most excited for this because #1 this kid ADORES water, and #2 it was free!!!! Yeah, he didn't enjoy it one bit, but don't worry we found the escalators and elevators and made the trip worth it. :-) We also were in Scottsdale where my mom grew up. We took the opportunity to go and get some pictures of the house she grew up in and some footprints that are still there! 50 years later!!!

| Sorry, didn't rotate it! |
 |
| As close as he got the whole time! |
The next day we took a trip to the mall (for me :-)) and he had a blast walking up and down the hallways and playing in the kiddie areas. I know, you are all thinking this is pretty lame but it doesn't take much to make us happy. We then went to a highly rated park that had 4 different playgrounds, a carousel, spray misters, and a train. I was so excited for him to ride the carousel and the train. Zero change in expression the entire time. Kory has ruined our child with all of his throwing and spinning! :-) Kory got out 3 hours early this day so we picked him up and headed to another outdoor mall with a splash pad. This time Boston got it, and got a total kick out of it! It may have helped that as soon as we got there a random girl came over and dumped a cup of water on his head so it wasn't as hard to get into the swing of things. :-)

| This kid could just climb on these things for an hour! No movement necessary! |

| Same expression, the entire time! |

| Riding the 'boring' train. At least that's what his expression told me. |
Finally we got to one of Kory's days off! We took a trip to the Phoenix zoo. Boston LOVED the zoo at 9 months so we thought it would be even cooler now. Within the first half hour he got sunscreen in his eyes and was miserable! We persevered though and I think he eventually enjoyed it. This was Kory and my first time seeing giraffes run and the two lions got into a total roar-athon over who got to sit on the rock! It was seriously one of the coolest things and made me realize how powerful those cats really are! This zoo also had a goat petting zoo and Boston was in actual heaven. He pet every single goat in that pen, there were at least 15, some he climbed on, some he laid down with, and some he even kissed. We tried really hard to wash him down after, don't worry! He was seriously so happy to be in there! That night we went and did a little shopping at our mall from the night before and were pleased to find they had outdoor performers throughout the mall, it was pretty cool.

| This was the favorite of the goats! |
 |
| Yes, he was laying under the bench with this guy. |
 |
| And yes, he got in the orange tube with this one. Curse the slow camera! |
On Saturday we went on a little hike to the Hole in the Rock. It was a short hike that Boston could do most of on his own and had a pretty sweet view at the top.
On Sunday we caught a Sacrament meeting in the morning and then took a couple temple trips. We went to the Mesa temple which was beautiful. I will admit I have never been a big fan from the pictures but in actuality it was gorgeous! We then went to the Gilbert, Arizona temple. It was breathtaking. I have never seen the kind of detail that was on the outside, swirls carved into the temple. It was fenced off so we couldn't get too close but it was soo beautiful.
On Monday we took a day to do a little more sight seeing, we saw some cool buildings downtown and took a walk around the Major League baseball stadium. It was pretty cool! We also took advantage of our last day with a pool. The pool and the elevators to our room were by far Boston's favorite parts about this trip. We made sure we went swimming at least once a day and rode that elevator far too many times.
 |
| Kory may have died on the bottom of the pool at one point...with his nose plugged? |
 |
| A cool ball drop maze outside the stadium |
 |
| Soo wish we could have bought some tickets here! |
Kory had one more meeting on Tuesday so Boston and I went back to the indoor gym. Once again he had a total blast! It was sooo depressing to come back to the cold. I was hoping that it would actually have become spring while we were gone but it was bitter cold and rainy the day we got back and have had to wear jackets since. Total bummer! It was so much fun to take a little vacation though and enjoy being together!
 |
| Okay, seriously how cute is this. Boston has become obsessed with his pockets! He puts his hands in them constantly! |

| Boston in the jump house! |
*The next two posts that will be coming on are old posts! I just found them here, written on my blog, never posted! I couldn't have that so I am going to post them even though they are almost 9 months late!
