The Quiz!!!

Due to our extremely uneventful lives right now I have been trying to think of what to write about on our blog. I found this cute little survey on some other peoples blogs and decided to use it today on ours. However, on most peoples only one person answers the questions and I thought it would be kind of fun to compare our two answers. I sent Kory to a corner of the room and had him answer all the questions and then I answered the questions without looking at his so now we will see how much we are on the same page. I will put my answers in red and Kory's will be in blue.

My, oh my...

This has been a big week for us in school. We figured we should update everyone on what we are doing right now with work and school and where we are planning on eventually getting with it. Charisse is graduating with her Medical Assistant certificate on April 10th but will be going back to school in August to get her associates. Yes, she is 22 and just barely getting an Associates. She started her externship this week. Oh, what a joy. She is working at a Womens Center. Basically, she deals with pregnant women, or upset women who are in for their annuals or STD's. It's rather exciting to be working in a doctors office because I have always wanted to be working there. At this particular externship She does a lot of urine samples, finger sticks, vital signs, and assisting in minor surgeries. She is currently looking at different externships that she can split with this one because she would like to learn more skills and gynecology isn't really her thing.
Kory has just a few more classes at LDSBC and will then probably transfer to the University of Utah to finish his bachelors in Business Management. He would eventually like to go back and farm in Idaho. This was the best picture he has that looks even remotely farmish at the moment.

Right now he works full time at Wells Fargo as a banker. To those of you who don't know the difference (because I sure didn't) that means he opens accounts and does loans for people. He enjoys it, but is getting tired of sitting at a desk all day really fast. He definitely misses farming and being outdoors.

Another very depressing part of our week is we went to the dentist. Kory's Mouth-oo la la
It was a terrible experience and we came out of it with a total of 8 cavities. We won't tell you who had what.We hope everyone is doing great and just want to remind you all that we would love to see blogs and updated blogs from EVERYONE!!! Have a wonderful week!

What a Busy Week!!

It has been a very eventful week. Mom came and picked up Sarah which was very fun while they were here but very depressing when they left. However, we hope they enjoy going back to Maryland. (I'm trying to be very optimistic.) After mom left we had the treat of having Kory's entire family come down for a Jon Schmidt concert. If anyone that hasn't ever had the opportunity gets the chance to go see Jon Schmidt in concert DO IT!!!! He is just as equally entertaining as he is talented. The concert was in Orem at the Scera theater. As soon as we saw the concert we all came back to our apartment and had a mini slumber party of sorts. I feel bad for the people beneath us but it was fun nonetheless. If anyone has ever been in our apartment you can imagine squeezing 9 people in it!!! After church i had the very daunting task of cooking them all lunch but with the famous white chili I feel it ended up being a success. To those of you with the recipe, try adding some sour cream to it, it makes the chili truly to die for. YUM!!!!! And those of you that don't have the recipe email me and i will give it to you. It is super easy and has just enough of a kick that it is addicting. I'm afraid it may become a running theme to talk about food in every one of my blogs but i can't help it! I adore food.
Sadly, after a very rousing game of pit, which may have all the apartments surrounding us either attacking us as we leave the apartment or moving out as soon as they can, his family had to make the long trip back to Idaho. It was so fun to have them here though!!! Now once again we have to get mentally ready to start another long week of school. I hope everyone has a wonderful week! And just a quick note to Andy-of course we read your blog and it is expected you update it frequently! It is so depressing to read the same thing week after week!!!

Sarah's Graduation

Yea!! Kory and I are going to have a blog. I have no idea what we are going to put on this thing because I think our lives may be the definition of boring but at least we fully enjoy it, right? Last night was Sarah's (Charisse's sister) graduation and I figured every one would like to see some pictures of her in the big moment. Sarah held up the whole graduation because she was late. She decided to go buy a head before the ceremony and the owner of the school was looking around frantically for her so they could start. Needless to say, the graduation started 10 minutes late. Of course, when she wasn't up on the stand in front of everyone she was in the audience eating a burger and fries. I guess that is just Sarah. They made them all do question and answers and none of the girls wanted to be first. Finally the man who owns the school told Sarah she should go first since she is the vocal, outgoing one. Her question was: "What is your favorite service to provide and why?" Her answer was men's haircuts because they are easy. Then they took a moment and bragged about how they had 4 missionaries come in and Sarah was able to whip through them all with superb skill and results in less than an hour. After they finished with the ceremony and slide show (which had many embarrassing pictures of Sarah) they made them all go to the schools "kitchen." In the kitchen they got to choose a color of paint and put their hand prints on the wall with their names and the date they graduated. Finally we got to the best part and that was the REFRESHMENTS. YUM!! They had an amazing carrot cake and some kind of juicey stuff that was really tasty. Kory snuck 3 pieces. That is how amazing it was. After it was over we took Sarah to Chili's and all shared a molten chocolate cake. This is her favorite dessert and the one she and Jon would always share. YUMMY!! The cake is truly to die for and one everyone should try in case they haven't yet. All in all, it was a great experience and we are so proud of Sarah in finishing school. They said the hours she puts in at hair school eventually add up to just barely short of a bachelors program, so that is very exciting for her! Way To Go Sarah!! Now if we could only convince her to stay here...
Well I think that about finishes up my first ever blog. Hopefully I will find great and wonderful things to write and it can help us all keep in contact a little more!! To everyone reading I hope you have a marvelous day!!
